Freestyle editor - Setup a chess960 position

Setup a chess 960 starting position by dragging the pieces on the board to the position you want. Be aware of following rules when shuffling the pieces:

• All pieces can only be moved across their current row. Pawns cannot be moved.
• The king has to be located somewhere between the two rooks to enable castling in both directions.
• The two bishops of each player need to be on squares with different colors.

If you already know the number of the position you want to build, you can enter it in the field below. Furthermore, you can enable double960 mode, which allows the pieces of each side to be shuffled independently, leading to asymmetric positions.
